Routinely ensure that all fasteners have not become loose. Repeated loosening and tightening of fasteners over time may decrease their effectiveness. Once assembly is complete, refrain from disassembling in order to maximise the longevity of the product.
  • To test the lubrication of wheel bearings, lift the product and spin each wheel. Any hindrance of spin should be corrected by applying a lithium or silicon based lubricant to the wheel bearings.
  • Periodically check that the height of both the seat and the handlebars are correctly positioned for your child. As your child grows, these height adjustable components should be raised accordingly. The seat should be sufficiently high such that your child’s feet can be placed flat on the ground while sitting with knees slightly bent.

1. After you have used the scooter for a week or two, the wheels will need to be checked to ensure they are still in perfect working order. To do so rotate the bearings and wheels and check if any lubrication or adjustments are needed.
2. Please do not use plastic to cover your scooter if it is being stored or transported as this may damage the finish. DO NOT use a wet cloth, alcohol, industrial cleaners or solvents to clean the scooter as this may result in loss of gloss, the removal of decals or dissolve the materials in the scooter. If the scooter loses its gloss a small bit of car wax can be used to polish the scooter.
3. In normal circumstances it is recommended that you disassemble, clean and lubricate the scooter every 6 months.
Please take extreme care to ensure the scooter is reassembled correctly.
4. If the front fork, wheels and/or rear support frame are not correctly tightened you can use a wrench to tighten the bolts correctly. Please ensure to not over or under tighten the bolts.
5. Due to normal wear and tear the PU wheels and bearings may need to be replaced after some time. Please contact the place of purchase for new wheels. DO NOT use parts designed for other scooters, the use of anything other than Fliker parts may affect your safety.
6. If the brake cable becomes lose, please screw out the bolt and nut on the brake gear and pull the brake cable out with a clamp. Reposition the brake cable so that it is tense and screw the bolt and nut onto the brake gear all the while keeping the cable taut.
7. Over time the nuts and bolts may become loose, please check that all nuts and bolts are sufficiently tightened before each use of your scooter.
8. The self-locking nuts and other self-locking elements can lose their effectiveness if released.

Turn the scooter upside down and try to spin the wheel. If they appear stiff, apply grease to the wheels. Greasing the wheels is essential to ensure the smooth movement of the wheel. Check the wheels regularly. Damaged wheels have to be replaced. In case of wheel replacement, make sure all screws are tightly secured.

Frame
  • Do not use any sharp objects when cleaning your Yvolution product.
  • Your Yvolution product should not be exposed to extended periods outdoors (ie rain, sunlight).
  • When cleaning, please use environmentally friendly products, never caustic cleaning material. Please protect against salt, and do not store in a humid atmosphere for long periods.
  • All frame parts are made of high quality steel (steel 37) and spray painted in colour. This creates a tough layer of lacquer. To avoid rust, please keep the frame clean. If you want to protect the frame with a layer of grease, only use acid-free Vaseline. Small chips can be touched up with paint. Please obtain from you dealer.
Wheels/Tires
  • Attention! Like car tires, the Y Kart Rocker’s tires are made of vulcanised natural rubber, and therefore are sensitive to marking on the surface. Therefore protect the surface to maintain good contact between the tire and the ground. Take care when using on floors that have been glued with solvents, like fitted carpets and especially PVC.
  • Grease the bearings regularly (once a year).
  • Keep tire pressure constant. Lower tire pressure increases wear and makes riding your Yvolution product harder. When tire pressure is correct the Y Kart Rocker is light and easy to handle.
Rubber Mountings
  • The two rubber mountings in between the frame of the Y Kart Rocker should be checked regularly for any damage, small cracks etc. Should you notice any cracks, please replace the rubber mounting. The rubber can be disposed of with normal waste. Visit our website for details of how to order new rubbers.
Drive Chain
  • On Y Kart Rocker, the chain is made of steel and should be greased regularly for smooth running, we recommend Teflon® spray. If the chain is tightened too much, the Y Kart Rocker will be difficult to ride, and could crack the axle. If the chain is not tight enough it could come off the gearwheel and damage the chain-cover. The chain tension can be adjusted by turning the chain-adjusters attached to both sides of the front-axle.
Miscellaneous
  • Please check your Y Kart Rocker regularly for possible wear and tear. To ensure the original high safety standard remains intact, please replace any worn parts immediately. Your Y Kart Rocker should not be used, whilst being repaired. Spare-parts can be obtained from your local dealer.
